Reid Alexander is used to getting what he wants – and what he wants next is his newest costar, Emma Pierce. The universe is lining up nicely to grant his wish, until he’s confronted with two unexpected obstacles on location: a bitter ex-girlfriend and a rival for Emma’s affections.

Emma Pierce just got her big break after years of filming commercials and made-for-TV movies. Winning the lead role in a wide-release film – opposite the very hot Reid Alexander – should be a dream come true. But Emma’s heart is hiding a secret fantasy: she wants to be a normal girl.

Oh, the movie star drama overload you will be consumed by in this novel!  It's delicious!!  I'm a total reality tv junkie.  And though this isn't about reality tv, it had a similar feel to me.  I was thrown right into the behind-the-scenes of teenage movie stars, engrossed in their typical sex, drinking and out-of-control behavior.  I loved every second of it!!

I challenge anyone to not love Emma.  She's sweet, yet snarky.  She's wholesome, yet fun.  She's confident, yet naive.  She's my very favorite kind of character.  She was sincere and kind in her choices, yet often found herself making the wrong choices in the end.  She fell for the costar hunk (but then who wouldn't fall for THE Reid Alexander?!), yet quickly realizes she's also fallen for another man of hotness.  What's a girl to do with TWO handsome devils to choose from?!

I had so much fun with this one!  I think the fact that it was on audio, again, really helped me get into it.  I loved it so hard!  I know I say that a lot... an audiobook can really make or break a book, in my opinion.  It comes down to mostly the narrators.  Kate and Todd were impeccable!  I actually felt the need to stop at one point just to tweet Tammara and let her know how in love I was with her narrators.  Todd, seriously, was THE PERFECT Reid!  He portrayed his cockiness and self-doubt issues perfectly.  Reid was emotionally all over the place, and that came across beautifully through Todd's performance.

I have to take a brief moment to totally and completely gush over Graham.  Seriously.  I think he really deserves a moment of silence just to dwell on his fabulousness as a man... Okay.  Though I feel that moment of silence hasn't done Graham the justice he so deserves, I will continue on with my review and let it go.  Wait... one more thing... Graham, you wonderful male specimen, you are my new favorite book boyfriend.  Okay, I'll stop gushing now... wait, what was I talking about again?  :-P

Now on to Reid Alexander.  I had such a love/hate relationship with Reid.  He was a total asshat at times and I really wanted to smack him one... then he would do something kinda sweet and grow on me a bit.  I'm still not sure how I feel about him... another reason why I must continue on with this series.  ;)

And the other characters were just as amazing!!  I really loved everything about Between the Lines.  Everything.  Yes, this book was perfect to me.  Just perfect.  I wouldn't change a thing... and  because of that, I refuse to give it under a 5-star rating.  :)

  4. This sounds like a book that I wouldn't normally pick up. Unless I was in the mood for one of those cutesy ones. This definitely sounds like a cutesy, fun, beachy read!

  5. I looked at this post specifically because it was an audio review and I was curious. I so agree that it can make or break a book and from the sound of the actual book content it appears to me that this just might best be served in sound ;) It is not my normal read, but sounds like in audio it might be fun. Thanks for sharing.
