Title: Right of WayAuthor: Lauren Barnholdt

Can a road trip repair a romance gone wrong? Find out in this standalone companion to Lauren Barnholdt’s Two-way Street.
Here are Peyton and Jace, meeting on vacation. Click! It’s awesome, it’s easy, it’s romantic. This is the real deal.
Unless it isn’t. Because when you’re in love, you don’t just stop calling one day. And you don’t keep secrets. Or lie. And when your life starts falling apart, you’re supposed to have the other person to lean on.
Here are Peyton and Jace again, broken up but thrown together on a road trip. One of them is lying about the destination. One of them is pretending not to be leaving something behind. And neither of them is prepared for what’s coming on the road ahead…
My Teaser:
"I knew you were high maintenance, but that much luggage is a little crazy, don't you think?"
"I'm not high maintenance!"
He shrugs, as if to say I am high maintenance and everyone knows it, so there's no use denying it. Like he knows anything about me and my high-maintenance ways. (And yes, I am a little bit high maintenance. But not in a bad way. I just like to have things the way I like them.)

Yes, yes... I know this is more than the allowed two lines, but I wanted to include the whole thing to show how fun this book looks. I can't wait to see where the story is going. I loved Barnholdt's Two Way Street, so I have a feeling I'll love this one too. :)

Lol, I could get a little overboard with my luggage as well. You never know what you need when the occasion arises.

I really wanted to love this one, but I just couldn't. I hope you have much better luck with it than I did. Maybe I would have liked it more had I read Two Way Street, but unfortunately I haven't.
ReplyDeleteI just picked up a used copy of Two Way Street. Guess I should read that first, even though this one is only a companion novel. Still, I like to read them in the order written. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I really want to read this one. I usually include more than two lines every week. Thanks for sharing!
